English Expressions project is a personal non-profit initiative aimed to help young people around the world not to learn English (I’m not a teacher) but to learn some expressions, which are so important to hold a conversation, no matter if in a business environment or with some foreigner friends. I think sometimes being fluent is much more important than correct: at least this has been my personal experience in years. Knowing expressions like ain’t, track along, every dog has his day, sticking around, makes you able to speak faster and nicer. You can get some verb wrong, yes, but the result will be better anyway.
It is not a dictionary at all: just an Instagram account that everybody can follow and be followed back.
English Expressions will soon need your help.
I have started English Expressions on November 26, 2013 as an experiment, but is more and more time-consuming: around 1 hour/day (weekend included). It is ok, for the moment. In the meanwhile, if you have an Instagram account you can follow English_Expressions and share it in your network. This would be very beneficial to increase the reach of the project. Many people will thank you for that and I can tell you: is a great satisfaction :)
Below are the latest expressions you can find on English_Expressions Instagram Profile. I’ll be delighted to accept any suggestions (or corrections (I’m not Native in English :) you would like to give. You can use the comments at the end of this page: you’ll get an answer very shortly.
